This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified, energetic and versatile teacher to join a well established and highly successful Food department. Food is an extremely popular subject within the school and a second Food classroom has been created to meet increased demand at GCSE. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher and would welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified colleagues.
The successful candidate will be:
- expected to teach across KS3 as well astheGCSE Qualification (WJEC Hospitality and Catering Level 1/2).
- expected to play a full part in the updating and implementation of Schemes of Work, across all Key Stages.
- a strong classroom practitioner, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and confident with classroom management.
- contribute to the planning and delivery of a strong extra-curricular offer.
- aware of current affairs in education, and will come with fresh ideas founded in academic research and the Ofsted framework.
- expected to be a Form Tutor.
