Teacher of Food Technology and Textiles (part-time considered) job summary

Nestled on the edge of Croydon and the stunning Happy Valley, Oasis Academy Coulsdon is an inclusive, family-oriented school that is committed to ensuring all of our students achieve excellence.

We are excited to invite a passionate and dedicated individual to join our vibrant Technology department. As part of our close-knit, supportive team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of our diverse student community and play a key role in shaping the future of the department.

Building upon our strong foundation, where a thoughtful and well-structured curriculum is already in place for both subjects, you will get to know your students personally, adapting and tailoring the curriculum to ensure each one makes meaningful progress. The team has already delivered outstanding results, and we are now focused on continuously improving our practices to provide even greater support for our students.

For this position we welcome applications for those who are interested in full time, or part-time (3 days minimum) working. ECT and training teachers will also be considered.

At Oasis Coulsdon, we are deeply committed to the professional development of our staff. When you join us, you will be paired with a dedicated coach to support your growth. As part of the Oasis Multi-Academy Trust, you will also have opportunities to collaborate with other departments and take part in National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) to further advance your career.

We are proud of the benefits that come with being part of the Oasis Coulsdon family. We encourage you to visit us before applying to experience our ethos and learn more about our exciting journey. Our benefits include:

  • A team that values staff wellbeing and prioritises long-term planning, avoiding mid-year changes.
  • A modern, beautifully designed building with outstanding facilities and stunning landscapes.
  • A well-established curriculum and resources that help manage workload effectively.
  • A supportive, thriving local community and an oversubscribed school.
  • Wellbeing day for every member of staff to take at a time of their choosing.
  • An on-site nursery with subsidised places for staff members.
  • My Oasis Benefits package available to all staff.
  • Flexible Working: We understand the importance of work-life balance. If you need flexibility to accommodate personal commitments or are interested in part-time or hybrid working, we’re happy to discuss options with you.

As part of the Oasis Multi-Academy Trust, you will be joining a global charity that is committed to improving education, health, and wellbeing for thousands of people. Learn more about our incredible journey here: Oasis UK
