What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a motivated Food Technology specialist to:

  • Teach engaging, well‑planned Food Technology / Food & Nutrition lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Design and teach a sequenced food curriculum that builds practical cooking skills, nutrition knowledge, food science basics, food hygiene, and sustainability principles.
  • Use assessment to identify and address misconceptions at the point of learning and support students to make strong progress.
  • Establish high expectations for behaviour and work collaboratively with pastoral and inclusion teams to remove barriers to learning.
  • Provide clear diagnostic feedback in line with the school marking and feedback policy.
  • Participate in department and whole‑school activities such as parents’ evenings, departmental meetings and practical events.
