We are looking to appoint someone who plans and delivers practical food technology lessons that develop students’ cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and understanding of food science. Ensures safe kitchen practices, assesses student progress, and promotes creativity, healthy eating, and confidence in food preparation.
Key responsibilities:
- Have high expectations of learners to ensure they achieve their full educational potential
- Have knowledge of a range of approaches to assessment, including questioning, oral assessment and self-assessment and the importance of formative assessment.
- Know how to identify and support learners affected by changes or difficulties in their personal circumstances.
- Maintain a secure knowledge and understanding of your subject(s) and related pedagogy to enable you to teach effectively at the Academy
- Set challenging teaching and learning objectives which are relevant to all students in your classes
Pay range:
19.5 hours per week
MPS: £19,749.60 - £27,211.60 (FTE: £32,916 - £45,352)

- Degree in subject specialism
