What skills and experience we're looking for

Whether you are beginning your career as an ECT or you have been teaching Food for decades, to really inspire the next generation you need an environment with the right conditions. You need an environment where pupils genuinely want to learn. An environment in which your colleagues are as passionate about your subject as you are.

With the highest expectations of pupils’ behaviour and effort, we don’t accept excuses. Our teachers work very hard but they only ever do work which is going to make a difference for our pupils.

We need a passionate Teacher of Food with a desire to inspire this passion into our pupils.

Your skills will include:

  • Being a good classroom practitioner with a strong understanding of how children learn;
  • Having up to date subject and pedagogical knowledge;
  • Possessing a passion to make a difference in pupils’ lives and showing a commitment to school improvement.

Even if you’ve only been teaching Food for a short while, if you’re eager for career development in the near future, we will ensure you get what you need, whether that be the right qualifications or the right experiences.
