Teacher of French (Maternity Cover) job summary

Charters School is seeking to appoint a Teacher of French, for the period of Maternity Cover to join us in April 2026. The post would be appropriate for an ECT or a more experienced teacher.

You will be joining a successful and vibrant Modern Foreign Languages Department who really bring languages alive for all.

  • Committed to promoting high-quality teaching of French
  • An inspiration to students to have a passion for the subject and have high expectations of all students
  • An excellent classroom practitioner with an understanding of high-quality learning and ensure French is a vibrant subject within the school community
  • Teaching the subject to KS3, KS4 (KS5 & the ability to teach Spanish desirable)

The school is a very heavily over-subscribed 11-18 Comprehensive School with 1710 students on roll including 390 in the Sixth Form.
