About The School

Manor Abbey School is a provision for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils with an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties.

The new school opened in Abbey Hulton, Stoke on Trent, in September 2024. There was an initial intake of 30 pupils in year 7 and 8; the school will progressively fill over 4 years until it reaches its capacity of 70 places.


About The Role

We are looking appoint an ambitious, steadfast and qualified teacher from any key stage who can deliver a range of classroom based subjects and a specified specialism.


The Successful Candidate will Provide / Deliver

  • High expectations of academic achievement
  • A successful track record of motivating young people
  • Well planned, sequenced, innovative and engaging lessons
  • Clear direction and support for teaching assistants
  • An awareness of trauma informed practices and positive mental health promotion
  • A clear understanding of, and ability to, manage behaviour that challenges
  • Subject leadership of a subject as directed by SLT
