The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Whalley Range 11-18 High School as a Teacher of Geography, contributing to a vibrant and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will be part of the Global Awareness Faculty, delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Religious Studies or History. You’ll be expected to plan engaging lessons, assess student progress effectively, and contribute to the wider development of the curriculum and school ethos. The role also includes opportunities to support extra-curricular activities and work collaboratively with colleagues to raise achievement and promote cooperative and British values.
What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking a passionate and knowledgeable educator with Qualified Teacher Status and a strong academic background in Geography. You should be a highly effective classroom practitioner, confident in delivering lessons that challenge and inspire students. A commitment to safeguarding, inclusive teaching practices, and continuous professional development is essential. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and a collaborative spirit, with the ability to motivate both students and colleagues.
