Are you a passionate Geography teacher?

Are you looking for a new challenge in an expanding, collaborative and well-resourced Geography department?

If so, this is a great opportunity for you whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Careers Teacher.

Our subject intent:

The Geography department aims to ensure our young people leave TDA with a passion for our planet and an understanding of their impact upon it. Students will be provided with opportunities to obtain the skills and knowledge to address key issues around our changing planet.

We prepare our students to enhance their knowledge of the world by using geographical skills practised during fieldwork opportunities which have been embedded throughout the key stages. We provide students with vital skills necessary for the workplace beyond their school career and embed key character attributes which will enable them to thrive as individuals.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our collaborative and experienced geography team of 4 specialist teachers. You will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to the growth of a dynamic department, exploring an array of topics which encourage students to question and debate current global challenges. As a teacher of Geography at TDA you will have the opportunity to teach across all key stages, including A-Level. Our geography department prides itself on the ability to work collaboratively and support each other with an approachable atmosphere and look forward to welcoming a new enthusiastic member to our team. You will have high expectations of yourself and your students, and a proven track record delivering engaging and innovative lessons. You will also be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school and its community.

We would welcome visits to the school, please contact kmd@tda.education to arrange a convenient date/time.
