Teacher of Geography job summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Geography (with possible additional responsibilities), to deliver high-quality lessons that support students in achieving outstanding progress. The successful candidate will set clear learning targets, assess student progress with regular feedback, and ensure students are well-prepared for examinations. With a genuine passion for Geography, you’ll help our students grow academically, socially, and emotionally, while staying up-to-date with current educational thinking. They will contribute to schemes of work, maintain a stimulating learning environment, and engage with parents and the wider school community. The role also involves taking responsibility for professional development and actively participating in school duties and performance management activities.
The Geography Department is part of the Humanities Faculty at Three Rivers comprising of a team of 3 dedicated and committed Geography teachers who deliver the curriculum at all three key stages, using schemes of work and programmes of study that have been developed as a department. Geography is taught in a suite of large specialist classrooms (each on allocated to a teacher), all equipped with interactive boards and each teacher has their own laptop. We are seeking an engaging and enthusiastic practitioner to contribute to our dedicated, forward thinking and hardworking team
