Do you want to inspire the next generation of global thinkers while working in a school that values professional growth, community engagement, and sustainability? Are you ready to unlock that future for the next generation? Oasis Academy Lister Park is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Geography to join our dynamic team.

At Oasis Academy Lister Park, we believe Geography is more than maps and places—it’s about understanding the world, its people, and the challenges that shape our future. We want a teacher who can bring this subject to life, spark curiosity, and empower students to think critically about the world around them.

Why Choose Oasis Academy Lister Park?

Located near the beautiful Lister Park, our academy lives by the motto “Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community.” We’re proud of our strong Ofsted rating (“Good,” March 2024), praised for high-quality teaching, calm and caring ethos, and excellent staff-pupil relationships. Inclusivity is at our core, with outstanding SEND support and a culture where every child thrives. Staff enjoy structured CPD, NPQ qualifications, mentoring, and career progression. Above all, we foster a sense of belonging; staff describe our environment as “coming to work with family,” where collaboration, recognition, and wellbeing are central.

Your Role

• Deliver engaging lessons that ignite curiosity and a love for learning.

• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress to ensure success for all.

• Contribute to curriculum development and innovative teaching strategies.

• Promote safety, wellbeing, and inclusion across the academy.

• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to build a supportive learning community.

What we’re looking for:

• A qualified teacher with a passion for Geography and inspiring young minds.

• Ability to teach across abilities and foster high expectations.

• Flexibility to teach other Humanities subjects (History, RE, etc.) welcomed.

• A team player who shares our vision for excellence and inclusion.

• Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.

Additional Opportunities:

• TLR3 allowance for an exceptional candidate ready to lead and innovate.

• While Geography is our priority, we welcome applicants who can teach other Humanities subjects.

Join us and make a real impact in a forward-thinking academy where your passion for Geography can thrive. If you share our vision of excellent education at the heart of our community, we’d love to hear from you.
