This is not just another teaching job; this is a once-in-a-career opportunity to be part of something truly special. King’s Wavertree is a brand-new school, opened in September 2025, a blank canvas where passionate educators can shape the culture, the curriculum and the lives of young people from day one.
Wavertree, like many areas in Liverpool, faces significant challenges. Liverpool is ranked as the third most deprived local authority in England, with 32.3% of children living in low-income families, compared to the national average of 20.1%. Many young people in this community face barriers to success - but you can be part of the team that changes their future.
King’s Wavertree is part of Great Schools Trust, ranked No. 2 nationally for most improved multi-academy trust. Our schools don’t just deliver academic excellence - they transform lives. We are relentless in our focus on people and wellbeing, ensuring that staff are supported, developed and valued. With dedicated weekly CPD time, access to leading leadership programmes and a trust-wide commitment to work-life balance, this is a place where both students and teachers thrive.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the Geography curriculum from the ground up, working with a dynamic team dedicated to academic excellence and character development. Our ASPIRE Values - Achievement, Aspiration, Self-awareness, Professionalism, Integrity, Respect, and Endeavour - underpin everything we do.

- State-of-the-art facilities, with input into the design of our new school building
