What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a full time teacher of Geography, with ability to teach at Key Stages 3 and 4, from September 2024.(Part time applications will be considered.) This is an exceptional opportunity for an outstanding ECT or experienced teacher to join a strong and successful team.

The Geography team consists of five specialist teachers and is part of a wider humanities faculty with a dedicated faculty assistant. The geography teachers follow an enquiry based approach to learning and the comprehensive schemes of work are continually reviewed to ensure the highest standards. Students make outstanding progress with over 40% of students achieved 7+ at GCSE last year. Geography is a consistently popular option with over 150 students having chosen to study at GCSE next year.

Geographyis part of the Humanities Faculty and are accommodated together in well-resourced subject specific classrooms. The faculty has a suite ofChromebooks for students to use and there is a dedicated humanities work area for staff.
