What skills and experience we're looking for
“Geography is not important: it is essential.” – National Geospatial Centre of Excellence (NGCE)
We need a talented teacher of Geography who has the passion to provide our children with the best possible experience of this essential subject. Could it be you?
Whether you are beginning your career as an ECT or you have been teaching geography for decades, to really inspire the next generation of geographers you need an environment with the right conditions. You need an environment where pupils genuinely want to learn. An environment in which your colleagues are as geeky about your subject as you are.
Whatever your level of experience in the classroom, it’s your passion for your subject that counts. We prize love of learning above all else.
About You:
Your skills will include:
- Being a good/outstanding classroom practitioner with a good understanding of how children learn;
- Having up to date subject and pedagogical knowledge.
- Possessing a passion to make a difference in pupils’ lives and showing a commitment to school improvement.
