What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Geography teacher to join our dedicated and innovative department in September 2025. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of taking on leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum standards for Geography
  • Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and instructional resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
  • Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and participate in departmental and school-wide activities
  • Stay current with developments in Geography education, integrating new knowledge into teaching practises
  • Mentor and support students in their academic and personal development

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong background in Geography, with a commitment to inspiring students to explore and understand the world around them
  • Proven track record of delivering engaging and effective Geography lessons
  • Ability to plan and teach well-structured lessons that adhere to the curriculum standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, dynamic, and highly motivated teacher who is passionate about Geography. You should have a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.
