Teacher of German (Temporary cover) job summary

Key responsibilities for the role include:

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious German specialist to join our school on a temporary basis as a Teacher of German. The position is short term to cover staff absence,. The large and successful Modern Foreign Language Department have a real passion for their subject; they aim to pass on enthusiasm for languages to the students through active engagement in lessons. They are fully committed to learning outside the classroom through trips and enrichment days. Candidates will need to share the love of teaching languages to bright and capable students. We could consider applications from ECT's.

The successful candidate will:

- Be available to staff after the Easter Break

- Be a successful Teacher of German across all levels, with the ability to teach a second language to at least KS3

- Inspire curiosity and passion for German, whilst delivering a knowledge rich curriculum

- Experience of planning of lessons / schemes of work in line with the demands of an examination syllabus

- Be driven and passionate about securing positive outcomes for students
