What skills and experience we're looking for

You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic colleague who is keen to make a difference. Your role will be instrumental in delivering the Kepier vision of highly engaging, interactive and challenging learning experiences for our learners in PE. You will be a practitioner who has the vision, energy and drive to build on our existing strengths. You will also have enthusiasm for promoting/driving extracurricular activities and building upon previous successes.

The post holder will be required to teach across the full age and ability range and, therefore, candidates must have good knowledge and understanding of KS3 and KS4 PE. The ability to teach an additional subject is desirable and candidates must be aware that it is likely this role will include a proportion of teaching PSHCE.

What the school offers its staff

Kepier is a thriving and ambitious secondary school with a strong reputation for staff development and well-being. We have high expectations for learning and behaviour, supported by robust systems that allow teachers to focus on what they do best—teaching. In our most recent Ofsted inspection, ‘impeccable’ was a word used to describe our learners’ behaviour, reflecting our commitment to a positive and respectful learning environment.

Commitment to safeguarding

The school is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. As part of our due diligence and to comply with our obligations in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, an online search of publicly available information will be undertaken for all shortlisted candidates. All School posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants will be subject to appropriate background checks and vetting including an enhanced DBS check and checks against the children’s barred list.
