Wollaston School rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted May 2023
TEACHER OF GIRLS PE —MPS / UPS & Applications from ECT’s Welcomed. (Required For September 2024 start or sooner if available—Permanent Position)
We are seeking to appoint a skilled teacher of PE, with the ability to teach Core PE throughout the school as well as examination courses at GCSE and A-Level by negotiation. We welcome applications from Early Careers Teachers and we offer a fully supported induction programme, tailored CPD and regular subject specific mentoring & whole school professional development. The successful candidate will be a well-qualified and dynamic teacher, committed to raising students’ skills and willing to take an active part in the Faculty’s thriving extra-curricular programme.
PE is taught to all students throughout Key Stage 3; students have a 1 hour 40 minute lesson and a 50 minute lesson each week. At Key Stage 4, as well as Core PE which is taught to all students, GCSE PE is a very well subscribed option. The subject is also popular in the Sixth Form and several students go on to study PE or health-related courses at higher education each year. Examination outcomes at both GCSE and A-level are strong.
