Teacher of health and social care job summary

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic health and social care teacher to join our flourishing academy. Our ideal candidate will have a love for the subject and a passion for teaching so that our students thrive. We have an excellent support package for NQTs, who are encouraged to apply.
You would join the humanities department, which is a large, vibrant team, with a mix of experienced and new teachers. Staff are encouraged to take a full role within the team, contributing ideas in order to ensure the department continually improves; we value our staff voice.
We are an oversubscribed school with 1530 students on roll, including 370 in post 16 and 50 students in our Skills for Learning unit which provides students with moderate learning difficulties a special school experience within a mainstream environment. We also have a dedicated unit for students with high functioning ASD. We pride ourselves on being a beacon of inclusion. We aim to give our students the best experience of school life, allowing our students to find their talents and their passions through a broad and balanced curriculum but we can’t do this without dedicated, energetic and passionate teachers who put the students at the heart of everything they do.
