What skills and experience we're looking for

Recent experience of teaching the 11-16 age range - Essential

Recent experience of teaching students in key stage 5 - Essential

An outstanding classroom practitioner - Essential

Interest in and willingness to teach students in Key Stage 5 Government & Politics and/or Law at A Level - Desirable

Degree or equivalent qualification and a teaching qualification - Essential

Up-to-date in-service training in subject and whole school issues - Desirable

Additional qualifications relevant to the post - Desirable

Strong working knowledge of the National Curriculum, issues and developments - Essential

Highly effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; the ability to lead and enthuse others; the ability to co-operate and co-ordinate with other departments - Essential

Excellent administration, organisation and management skills - Essential

Excellent information and communication technology skills - Essential

Knowledge of equal opportunity issues for students and staff - Essential
