Teacher of History and Politics job summary
We are seeking a qualified teacher of History and Politics, either NQT or experienced, to be part of the teaching team.
Your opportunity
The History team is a dynamic and innovative department consisting of five teachers under the leadership of the Head of History. At all key stages we strive to equip our students with the tools to become independent learners, with a keen interest in History. We regularly build our students’ historical knowledge outside of the classroom through thematic days, education trips and internal workshops. These include Holocaust Memorial Day, with survivor testimony, a local history day and trips to the Old Operating Theatre, the Imperial War Museum and Hampton Court Palace. We also intend to resume international trips as soon as possible.
We can offer you the opportunity to advance your career within a supportive academy environment. You will be part of a Federation established in developing practitioners and nurturing excellent future leaders, with unrivalled opportunities for progression; whatever your aspirations as a teacher, middle or senior leader, our Teaching School Alliance provides a range of bespoke courses and qualifications, including our Aspiring Leaders NPQML and NPQSL programmes to help you achieve your ambitions more quickly.

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. We would like to appoint a dynamic and inspirational qualified teacher. We are looking for an effective and enthusiastic classroom teacher who will be able to complement our dedicated team of outstanding practitioners. The successful candidate will ideally have significant experience in inner-city, multi-racial and urban areas.
We are looking for a strong communicator with proven strengths in engaging with, inspiring and motivating, not just the school community, but the wider community. You should hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
