An opportunity has arisen at Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form (KNGS) for an exceptional teacher of History and Politics on a full-time, permanent basis, available immediately. KNGS is an OFSTED outstanding school and is part of the West Midlands Multi Academy Trust with a comprehensive intake and a co-educational sixth form. We are proud of our vibrant, socially and culturally diverse school, which lies in the heart of our community, and is highly regarded in our local area and beyond.

The post is available immediately, on a full time, permanent contract. ECT applications are welcomed.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional teacher of History and Politics to join Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form. We are an outstanding school and achieve excellent pastoral and academic outcomes for students within a culture of care and concern for the well-being of both students and staff. Both subjects sit within the humanities faculty which is consistently achieving some of the best results in the country. The faculty plays an integral role in the life of the school, making a significant contribution to the development of key skills and cultural understanding. Politics and history are both very popular options choices.

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner to join our team and to contribute their enthusiasm and teaching skills to our work. The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher, committed to improving learners’ experiences and attainment through working collaboratively and being willing to adopt new ideas. In return we can offer the opportunity to teach students with a thirst for learning within a supportive school and faculty. You will have experience of teaching history at KS3 and KS4 whilst experience at KS5 is desirable. You will also have the ability to teach politics at KS5.
