What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Degree in relevant subject.
  • Evidence of good classroom practice in History and/or Sociology..
  • Evidence of keeping up to date with NC developments in History and/or Sociology.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of History and/or Sociology syllabus up to GCSE.
  • Inspire, challenge, motivate and empower students to achieve.
  • Build and maintain quality relationships through interpersonal skills and effective communication.
  • Uphold the Catholic and Mercy ethos of the Academy.
  • Able to work as a team member.
  • Commitment to ongoing developments and improvements.

We are looking to appoint a permanent excellent Teacher of History / Sociology.
