What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Planning and preparing the courses and lessons assigned to you.
  • Teaching, according to their educational needs, the students assigned to you, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the student in the Academy and elsewhere.
  • Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of students; in each case having regard to the curriculum for the Academy.

St George’s Academy is a large, successful, 11-18 mixed secondary school of 2,340 students (including 334 in the sixth form) with outstanding facilities in all areas. The Academy serves Sleaford, Ruskington and the surrounding Lincolnshire villages with our main campus in Sleaford and our smaller campus in the village of Ruskington.

We are a leading member of the Sleaford Joint-Sixth Form (SJSF), a collaboration of the co-educational sixth forms of St George’s Academy and the Robert Carre Trust. The SJSF provides a full range of post 16 courses for over 700 students and is a beacon of educational provision across Lincolnshire.
