The Role
As Teacher of History, you will:
- Deliver dynamic and inspiring lessons at KS3 and KS4.
- Be part of a collaborative and supportive department.
- Use innovative teaching strategies to challenge and engage students.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and schemes of work.
- Support the holistic development of our learners – academically, socially, and emotionally.
Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT, we will support you every step of the way. At Wyvern Academy and across Consilium Academies, we prioritise staff development through our Centre for Professional Learning, bespoke CPD pathways, and a clear focus on wellbeing.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has Qualified Teacher Status and a degree in History or a related field.
- Has the passion and ability to inspire young people to love history.
- Is committed to inclusive education and removing barriers to learning.
- Demonstrates high expectations for all learners.
- Works effectively as part of a team and is open to collaboration and innovation.
