Teacher of Humanities job summary

The Humanities department is well resourced, teaches engaging lessons, has a focus on quality modelling of tasks, and a strong culture of revision. We are a large faculty, delivering a curriculum incorporating Business, Economics, Geography, History, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology, RE and Sociology. We would welcome applicants from any Humanities background, but the ability to teach Religious Education would be an advantage.
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students with engaging and thought-provoking lessons in History, Geography, and Religious Education. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach A-Level, if appropriate. Our school motto is “think for yourself; act for others”; these are not just empty words, and are an essential part of the way Cheney runs.

You need to have good subject knowledge, like children and want to work in a genuinely diverse community. Commitment to safeguarding
