We are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities to join our hardworking, highly experienced and supportive Humanities Department. The role will include teaching Geography and/or History depending on the successful candidate.
Our department, which consists of dedicated, lively and innovative teachers, work collaboratively with each other. Their strength as a team has led to excellent results and high student numbers at GCSE. We are looking for somebody who is passionate about their subject, who will be able to work within a team-centred approach to planning and teaching a wonderful subject at all levels. We value our middle leaders and have a Head of History and Geography who lead each department, who have dedicated fortnightly departmental time together as subjects.
We are delighted and proud of what our students achieve in Geography and History. Results have been excellent, and consistently above the national average in recent years at GCSE. We run a range of trips including Iceland, Battlefields and local fieldwork studies.
Bungay High School Academy is a thriving and successful school situated in a pleasant rural area. We are 20 miles from Norwich and 15 miles from the delightful heritage coast.
