The curriculum delivered at ASCEND works to specifically develop all three of these areas. Physical and emotional wellbeing is vital for effective learning to take place. These two areas form a substantial part of the taught curriculum and daily activities.
You will need to be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons based on the National Curriculum differentiated to meet the needs of our students. The successful candidate will work with a small group of learners, offering a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum designed to meet the individual needs of our students. Our teachers have the support and flexibility to plan and deliver a curriculum for individual and small group learning, applying their individual specialist interests and skills. Visits to other educational facilities make up an important part of our curriculum. These may be to develop awareness, experience something new or build knowledge and understanding around a relevant topic.
