What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Humanities to join our Humanities Department to teach Religious Studies at KS3 and KS4.
We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
Subject Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of the Humanities subjects, such as History, Geography, or Religious Studies.
- Familiarity with the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Teaching Skills:
- Classroom management: Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Lesson planning: Design engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Differentiation: Tailor teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of individual students.
- Assessment and feedback: Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Effective communication: Clearly articulate ideas and instructions to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and parents to support students' overall development.
- Parent-teacher communication: Provide regular updates on student progress and communicate effectively with parents.
Passion for Teaching:
- Enthusiasm: Display a genuine passion for the subject matter and teaching.
- Motivation: Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
