What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential
- Teaching of ICT/Computer Science to at least GCSE level.
- A proven track record as a good/outstanding classroom teacher.
- A proven track record of high standards of achievement.
- The ability to use data effectively to track progress, set targets and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
- Experience as a Form Tutor.
Desirable
- Experience of teaching within an 11-18 school.
- Experience of teaching ICT at Post 16 level.
- Experience of teaching Computer Science at Post 16 level.
Essential
- The ability to use an imaginative range of teaching strategies to promote high expectations and high levels of challenge.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of strategies for promoting good relationships with students and effective behaviour management techniques.
- Excellent up-to-date subject knowledge and passion for the curriculum area.
- Knowledge of effective assessment strategies.
- Understanding of how to adapt teaching to meet need.
- Good working knowledge of recent developments within ICT.
- Confident use of ICT including a good knowledge of interactive technologies and the application of these to engage and interest students.
