Recent changes in the field of AI have deep reaching consequences for the world of education, from use in the classroom through to a myriad of applications for administration and workload.

Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust has always been known as an innovative Trust in the field of Technology, with Microsoft Showcase Schools, EEF research projects and the ICT Test Bed some of its previous work in the field. We are looking to continue to stay at the cutting edge of educational technology.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to combine your passion for teaching and technology and make a real impact on education. We are seeking a teacher to drive the use of AI through the Trust in the fields of administration and parental relationships, teacher workload reduction and student support.

As a teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons in ICT and computer science. You will also have the opportunity to work with colleagues and students to develop and implement new pedagogy utilising AI.

As an innovator, you will lead a project to investigate the potential of AI in education and work with to design and implement innovative solutions with colleagues across the Academy and Trust. You will also have the opportunity to look to distribute your work thorough the Trust and if successful the wider Education community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide high quality lessons to students in the fields of ICT and Computer Science and to support the development of Computer Science
  • To develop effective partnership working with other staff to secure high levels of student progress utilising AI technology.
  • To liaise with staff across the Trust to support teaching and workload reduction utilising AI technology.
  • To seek opportunities to promote these findings to a wider audience.
