Teacher of Individuals and Societies job summary

We know that exceptional Individuals and Societies Teachers are in high demand which is why we are offering a recruitment and retention bonus of £2,000 for the right candidate (£1,000 payable upon joining, and £1,000 payable after 1 year's service).​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

About the role: Wilmington Academy are seeking to appoint a talented and inspiring Teacher of Individuals and Societies who will join us from September 2022. Our successful candidate should be comfortable teaching all Humanities at KS3 and have experience of Geography at KS4. Knowledge of IB Geography is desirable. Geography and History are popular subjects and the numbers at KS5 are growing. You will be supported by an established, friendly and supportive team. Applications from Early Career Teachers (ETCs) are welcome as are applications from more experienced teachers; we can offer a fantastic range of professional development opportunities within the academy and across the wider Trust.

Wilmington Academy is an IB World School. Training can be delivered, where necessary, to upskill our successful candidate in the delivery of the MYP and IB programmes.
