What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an inspiring teacher of IT & Computing to join the school as we continue our journey to providing an outstanding education for all in our care. Applicants must have a strong and secure knowledge of the IT/CS curriculum across KS3,4 and 5. They will demonstrate knowledge of both academic and vocational education and how this supports the ambitions of the students. They will be able to maintain and build on a culture of success where all feel valued and proud of their achievements. They will be able to inspire, engage and support the students in their care to be the best they can be towards ensuring excellent outcomes for all our students.
The IT department is an established team delivering a highly organised curriculum for Computer Science, IT, and Creative Media that is well planned and resourced. The team develops students’ learning in an open door, calm and purposeful manner acting coherently in their teaching approach and always supporting each other to gain the most from the individual subjects and the individual students. High quality first teaching is a key focus.

The successful candidate will demonstrate: -
- a passion for computing / IT and teaching with an excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical understanding.
- they are an excellent classroom practitioner, who is experienced in teaching at key stages 3, 4 and, ideally 5.
- excellent success at achieving consistently good results.
