What skills and experience we're looking for
We seek to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Languages specialist to join our successful team of dedicated teachers, committed to raising aspirations and bringing out the best in our students.
Languages plays a key role in the school curriculum with all Year 7 students having the opportunity to experience a four-week taster of French, Spanish and German in term 1 before deciding which language they would prefer to continue. Students then continue learning their allocated language throughout KS3 with some students offered the opportunity to pick up a second language at the start of Year 9.
This post offers an opportunity for an inspirational practitioner to join a team that achieves excellent outcomes for its students. In recent years, GCSE results in Languages have been above the national average. In 2025 87%, 81% and 90% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in French, German and Spanish respectively with 43%, 32% and 35% achieving a grade 7 or above.
