What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic, and innovative teacher of French or French and Spanish to join our supportive, passionate and welcoming Languages Department at Noadswood.
In recent years, these subjects at KS4 have remained important in our school because of the experience of our colleagues and their care over the delivery of the curriculum and their attention to every individual that they teach. We look to increase our numbers pursuing their KS4 study of French and Spanish through this appointment, as well as assisting us with an enriching range of trips, residential activities and exchanges.
At Key Stage 3, the curriculum is engaging and fun, and our department corridor is filled with praise, enjoyment, rich knowledge and skills development, and even some singing! We look forward to having the capacity to develop greater links with our primary schools in the development of an equally rich Key Stage 2/3 curriculum over the next few years, too.
Colleagues’ shared purpose is to inspire and challenge all the young people at Noadswood, and you would be joining a very special team which looks after each other and the students, and which is well organised, resourced and always keen to reflect and develop.
What the school offers its staff
You would become part of the wider Noadswood family effortlessly, too, because of how welcoming and supportive we are, something commented on by all candidates and visitors alike. You will benefit from our commitment to your induction and a rich professional development programme that will offer you bespoke opportunities along with department, whole school and collaborative CPD with schools across our local area.
Recently confirmed a Good school in its Ofsted inspection in October 2022, at Noadswood we are excited to have you join us to help this very special department continue to go from strength to strength, deepening their capacity, and adding your enthusiasm and care for young people to the mix.
We are looking to appoint a candidate who has the skill to ensure learners of all abilities engage with their learning, make progress, achieve their full potential and develop a lifelong appreciation of the importance of Languages and the joys of learning another language – we can’t wait to hear from you.
Further details about the role
Main Pay Scale or Upper Pay Range depending on experience/current salary of successful candidate.
There is also scope to discuss a Lead Practitioner role for a more experienced candidate, should that be of interest.
This is a permanent role subject to successful completion of a six month probationary period.
