Teacher of Leadership & Challenge job summary

Applications are welcome from NQTs, School Direct, as well as experienced teachers.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking Teacher to deliver our new Leadership & Challenge curriculum at Brompton Academy. This role will involve team teaching with other teachers and applicants should demonstrate experience of collaborating with others. The successful applicant will be innovative and will possess a creative approach to pedagogy.

Leadership & Challenge is skills and project-based learning designed to develop leadership and learning skills. This flagship programme for the academy will ensure that students are well prepared to study the national curriculum and beyond. The aim is to develop confident learners who know how to learn.

Initially, this subject will be delivered to Year 7 and will be rolled out year on year to other year groups. This may mean that in the first year with us, the successful candidate will be required to teach a second subject, such as PSHE, Humanities or RE.

If successful, you will join our academy and trust-wide supportive learning environment, characterised by open management, with the knowledge that you will enjoy the full support and care of our pragmatic (and down-to-earth) leadership team.

We have fantastic new buildings, with outstanding facilities and Apple technologies for all, enabling us to enhance and support cutting-edge learning strategies required for continuous improvement.

Brompton Academy, part of the newly formed University of Kent Academies Trust, is an extremely popular oversubscribed academy with a current Ofsted rating of Good and a 400+ adult learner education programme.

In order to follow social distancing guidance, visits to the Academy are not possible at this time, but we would be happy to arrange a discussion or video call with a member of our Senior Leadership Team to share our vision for this role with you. To arrange such a discussion, please email: recruitment@universityofkentacademiestrust.org.uk

For further information, to download our application form or to send us your CV, please visit our website http://www.bromptonacademy.org.uk
