We invite you to join us as we move this school to 'excellence'. The core aims/values of this school are:
We want to be the best school in the area. We are looking to recruit an ambitious and innovative colleague to play a major role in that journey. We are a key member of the Unity Schools Partnership which celebrates professional development and career development. The Teaching school and an active talent management programme will support the successful candidate in this post and in their future career within the Trust and beyond.
We are looking for a creative, innovative, and enthusiastic practitioner to join our Mathematics Department. We want you to share our passion for teaching and learning; we are looking for someone who is keen to motivate and challenge our students and our colleagues to ensure that the Mathematics Department maintains its high profile across our community. All of our classrooms are fully resourced with interactive screens, class sets of mini-whiteboards and visualisers.
The department follows the White Rose scheme of learning and uses Sparx maths as a homework tool and for supporting independent study. In KS4 all students are entered for Edexcel GCSE Maths and have the opportunity to select GCSE Statistics as one of their KS4 options. We have a strong culture of enrichment with our more able students across all Years 7 to 11 being entered for the UKMT Junior and Intermediate challenges, and taking part in the Eureka Maths events coordinated by the Cambridge Maths School. In addition, all students have opportunities to participate in weekly problem-solving activities devised by Parallel and our continued links with Abbeygate Sixth Form College inspire Year 11 students to progress their STEM education at A-Level through a successful mentoring programme. In 2025 76.8% of our Year 11 cohort achieved a Grade 4 or higher in Maths, 60.7% achieved a grade 5 or higher and 26.2% achieved a grade 7 or higher, reflecting our commitment to excellence. We are top of the Unity School Partnership Trust for Mathematics and above national average in all areas.
At County High School, you will find an incredibly supportive team of professionals who are supported by an excellent leadership team, who draw on the wider Trust for additional support, professional development, and career progression opportunities. Together we are all focussed on providing exceptionality.

At Unity Schools Partnership our objective is to smash through barriers to make remarkable change happen. We pride ourselves on being an educational organisation that puts children first, going the extra mile for the vulnerable and disadvantaged, and every one of us has an impact on unlocking our pupils’ potential. We are committed to providing a working environment where our employees can grow and thrive. We value collaboration, wellbeing, diversity, equality and work-life balance. Throughout our diverse family of schools and within our vibrant central hub we nurture talent, whether you are at the beginning of your career or looking to grow your expertise. Unity Schools Partnership is made up of a family of 40 schools (10 secondary, 25 primary, and 5 special schools) located on the Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire borders, as well as Romford in East London. The Trust expects its work to be characterised by ethical leadership, an ambition for improvement at pace and the expectation that remarkable improvements can be achieved. We refer to ourselves as a family because, throughout the trust, we foster a supportive and collaborative relationship, whilst recognising, and celebrating that, we are all different and have our own contextual characteristics. Sharing the same values and facing similar issues not only enables us to support each other, but to challenge each other too. This interdependence allows each of our schools to flourish and grow; providing stimulating, nurturing yet self-challenging environments in which our pupils and staff members can thrive.
Unity Schools Partnership has created a subsidiary trading company Unity Schools Partnership Education. Having a separate legal entity that is free to trade independently with other commercial organisations as well as schools, gives scope and opportunities for greater impact and reach within the wider sphere of education. In return, income is invested into our trust to improve educational outcomes for the children in our schools. By working with Unity Schools Partnership, you may have the opportunity to work on a commission basis beyond a standard career in education and develop some ideas of your own.
