What skills and experience we're looking for
King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Mathematics teacher to join an exceptional Department. This role is being advertised as full-time, but a part-time appointment will be considered for a suitable candidate. In addition, the ability to offer a second subject would be desirable. This post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for an Early Career Teacher.
Mathematics is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. With 87% of grades at 9-4, 66% of grades at 9-5 and 25% of grades at 9-7 in GCSE Mathematics in 2025, you will be joining a high-performing, collaborative Department. In addition to teaching A-level Maths and Further Maths, we also have a successful Level 3 Core Maths course in the Sixth Form to encourage further development of students’ mathematical skills.
We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm, excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
