Teacher of Mathematics job summary

Mathematics is a very successful, large and supportive department. We deliberately have a mix of experience levels within the teaching team, finding that this gives us the best combination for our students. We have an excellent record on staff retention and the training and professional development of staff is at the core of our ethos. With regard to the curriculum, year groups are grouped in a two-band structure and the consistency of teacher throughout each Key Stage is maintained where possible. Students are set within these bands. All of our students are entered for the Mathematics GCSE, although those in the lowest ability groups may also be entered for the Entry Level Certificate. Mathematics and Further Mathematics are very popular options at Key Stage 5, with students regularly achieving double A*’s
