Teacher of Mathematics job summary
We are excited to offer the opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate Teacher of Maths to join our friendly and dedicated team. Joining the maths department at this time is particularly exciting as with a new Head of Department in post, there is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the future success of Faringdon Community College. Members of the department take every opportunity to support each other. Resources are shared and there is frequent sharing of best practice within the department and across the school. The ability to collaborate effectively and work constructively as part of a team is essential.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic educator who is committed to inclusion, who delivers well planned, engaging lessons and is reflective in their practice. Our pedagogy is grounded in evidence-informed practice, and familiarity with Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction would be beneficial. For colleagues who are not yet familiar with these principles, our comprehensive CPDL programme is designed to support your development and build your expertise.
You will be able to teach maths up to KS4 and up to KS5 is desirable but not essential. All applicants are welcome, including ECTs, as a full induction is provided with internal CPDL and National College membership. We empower our teachers and support staff through a framework that is supportive and developmental. The staff body is welcoming and the staff room is vibrant.
