Purpose:

You will be joining a passionate and ambitious Maths Faculty committed to inspiring students to become confident, capable mathematicians who make excellent academic progress. Working collaboratively within a team that includes a Head of Faculty, Second in Faculty, and five other teachers, you will contribute to a rich and engaging curriculum—focused on mastery at Key Stage 3 and high achievement at Key Stage 4, where we teach AQA GCSE Maths, Edexcel GCSE Statistics, and AQA Further Maths Level 2.

You will help students build the skills they need for exam success and future opportunities, supported by excellent teaching resources including interactive screens, visualisers, laptops, and online platforms like Complete Maths and Sparx. With strong relationships and a Ready to Learn policy in place, you’ll thrive in a positive classroom environment and benefit from a dedicated workroom for planning and collaboration. This is a role for someone who is passionate about maths, committed to student success, eager to share best practice, and ready to contribute to the wider life of the school.

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of students across a range of ages and abilities
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and apply effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, development, and attainment
  • Maintain a positive, disciplined learning environment in line with school policies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum, resources, and schemes of work
  • Contribute to whole-school quality assurance processes, including evaluation and review
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/carers about student progress and wellbeing
  • Support students’ personal development as both teacher and tutor
  • Organise and participate in trips, events, and enrichment activities
