Teacher of Mathematics job summary

Required for September 2026, The Bishop Wand Church of England School is seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher who shares our vision and focus on making a difference to students’ lives by delivering an effective mathematics curriculum.

The successful post holder will be able to lead our students at all levels to achieve outstanding outcomes in readiness for the next steps of their academic journey. Experience of teaching at A-level or teaching Business studies or Economics would be desirable but not essential.

Our Mathematics, Business, Economics and Travel Faculty are a friendly team of outstanding, dynamic and supportive teachers who bring energy and enthusiasm to the delivery of their subject. The Faculty has achieved significant success in the last few years and is committed to excellence. Our philosophy is that Mathematics can and should be enjoyed by all students!

Sharing our ethos of ‘Realising God-given potential’ you must possess a clear vision for outstanding subject provision. You will have the ability and commitment to secure high standards of student achievement, making learning relevant and developing employability skills in our future young professionals. This post is suitable for ECTs however, we welcome those with experience and a teaching and learning responsibility could be available for the right candidate.
