Montpelier High School is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join our vibrant and ambitious school community. This is an exciting opportunity to teach mathematics in a diverse, inclusive and forward‑thinking environment where high expectations, strong relationships and academic excellence are at the heart of school life. Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality, engaging Maths lessons across relevant key stages ensuring strong progress and outcomes for all students
  • Plan and adapt schemes of work in line with the National Curriculum and department priorities
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress, provide feedback and inform teaching
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well managed classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Support the development of students' confidence, problem solving skills and enjoyment of Maths

Pay range:

  • M1 - M3 - £32,916.00 - £37,101.00
  • 32.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
  • Fixed term until 31/08/2027

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Degree in subject specialism
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
