Teacher of Mathematics job summary
The Bishop Wand Church of England School is seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher who shares our vision and focus on making a difference to students’ lives by delivering an exciting Mathematics curriculum. This is a fixed term post until 31st July 2026.
The successful post holder will be able to lead our students at all levels to achieve outstanding outcomes in readiness for the next steps of their academic journey. A Teaching and Learning Responsibility may be available for a candidate with suitable experience.
Mathematics, Economics and Business A Levels are the most popular in our Sixth Form and as numbers continue to rise year on year we are looking to increase our teaching capacity at this level, so experience of teaching at A level is desirable.
Our Mathematics, Business, Economics and Travel Faculty are a friendly team of outstanding, dynamic and supportive teachers who bring energy and enthusiasm to the delivery of their subject. The Faculty has achieved significant success in the last few years and is committed to excellence. Our philosophy is that Mathematics can, and should, be enjoyed by all students!
Sharing our ethos of ‘Realising God-given potential’ you must possess a clear vision for outstanding subject provision. You will have the ability and commitment to secure high standards of student achievement making learning relevant, and developing employability skills in our future young professionals.
