Teacher of Mathematics job summary

We are seeking a Full Time Teacher of Maths to join our small and friendly team, ideally from April 2022, but we will wait until September 2022 for the right candidate. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic teacher as we are also seeking a Head of Faculty to lead maths and numeracy across our schools – the right candidate would be ideally placed to pick up this role. This role is working primarily at Solway Community School, but with the expectation that, if required, the successful candidate will also teach in our partner school, Beacon Hill Community School in Aspatria. Our small, friendly schools provide excellent opportunities to be involved in school-wide activities as well as the challenge of teaching across the age and ability range. You will be ambitious and inspirational in the classroom, determined to ensure all learners achieve, whatever their ability. If you feel you share our values and feel you might be ready to take your next step into leadership, then we would like to hear from you. For an informal conversation about the role and what it is like working for us, please contact the school office to arrange a chat with our Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher.

Further information about the job

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
Visas cannot be sponsored.
If you're interested in teaching or training to teach in England as an international citizen, we can help you understand your next steps.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our schools take safeguarding very seriously. The successful applicant will be required to hold or undergo a suitable enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service disclosure.
Short-listed candidates will be asked to complete a criminal record self-disclosure form to provide details of all unspent convictions and those that would not be filtered or protected. If your application is successful, this criminal record self-disclosure information will be checked against information from the Disclosure & Barring Service before your appointment is confirmed.
In addition to the above, the school reserves the right to carry out an online search on short-listed candidates.
