The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Mathematics to join our school. The successful candidate will be passionate in making a difference for our children.We are looking to recruit a colleague with both the commitment and relevant skills to embody our culture, enthuse students, and help to raise standards throughout the school. The successful candidate will join the school at an exciting time. Having been judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in December 2021, we are eager to continue on our school improvement journey – and we look forward to having you on this journey.
The successful candidate will:
- provide inspirational teaching so that all students make exceptional progress.
- be an outstanding, passionate and highly motivated teacher.
- be committed to extra-curricular activities within the department.
- be able to teach Mathematics up to Key Stage 5.

The Catholic High School, Chester is a Catholic Voluntary Academy situated on the western outskirts of Chester approximately one mile from the city centre. It is an 11 to 18 Roman Catholic mixed comprehensive school with over 900 students including a thriving Sixth Form.
The School exists to provide the best Catholic education for all. This applies to all our students whatever their own faith background. Currently around 70% of our students are baptised Catholics and all our students are equally welcome in the school. We value and appreciate the contribution made by those from other faith backgrounds.
