We are looking for a dynamicTeacher of Mathsto join our flourishing Mathematics department (starting Easter 2023 or earlier depending on the successful candidate’s availability). Successful candidates will be passionate about Mathematics and share our vision of developing STEM professionals for the future global market. What the school offers its staff

The Leigh UTC opened in 2014 with state-of-the-art facilities. We are the first UTC to join a multi-academy trust, to become an IB World School, to be built in Kent and among the first Academies in the UK to offer T-levels and Level 3 and 4 apprenticeships. We were the first UTC to open from Year 7 and have been oversubscribed in all year groups ever since, now serving over 800 young people from Kent, Medway and South-East London. We are a pioneering Academy and are looking for like-minded, ambitious people who can make great things happen for the young people in our community.

The Director of Learning for Mathematics is well established, has been in post for a number of years, and has ensured successful implementation of mathematical study is in place for all students including post-16 who all study Mathematics regardless of their pathway. The curriculum is very strong with an MYP (IB) approach to KS3 with a real emphasis on Mastery. We also offer an IB Diploma Maths, A-level Maths and Core Maths at KS3, meaning that over 80% of our post-16s study Maths to the age of 18. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and strong Early Career Teachers.
