Following an internal role change, we are seeking an inspirational Teacher of Maths to join the team at Tewkesbury Academy. We are looking for someone with a real passion for delivering exceptional learning experiences and a commitment to ensuring every young person thrives. About you:

You will be:

  • A qualified teacher or hold an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Able to deliver the Maths curriculum with confidence and creativity, consistently teaching high‑quality lessons across the relevant key stages.
  • Skilled in meeting the needs of a diverse range of learners, including pupil premium students, looked after children, those with SEND, and high-attaining mathematicians.
  • A strong communicator, capable of embracing change, motivating colleagues, and building positive, supportive relationships with students, staff and parents.
  • Committed to offering learning beyond the classroom, recognising and valuing enrichment opportunities—such as clubs, competitions, problem‑solving events, or cross‑curricular projects—that enhance students' mathematical understanding and overall experience.
  • Motivated to develop your own expert practice while contributing to the professional growth of others.
  • Highly competent across all elements of the Teachers’ Standards, with substantial and sustained achievements suited to an Upper Pay Scale teacher.
