The Role

As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the Academy curriculum, including KS3 and GCSE.
  • Set, mark, and assess work to support students’ learning and progress.
  • Plan lessons to ensure maximum engagement and progression.
  • Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support students’ personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Contribute to department and school initiatives, including curriculum development and enrichment activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status and a degree in Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Have experience teaching Maths to a full range of abilities across KS3 and KS4.
  • Demonstrate a passion for inspiring students and raising attainment.
  • Have strong subject knowledge and up-to-date awareness of the curriculum.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and engage positively with the wider school community.
  • Are committed to inclusion and supporting every student to achieve their potential.

Desirable skills include experience with interactive classroom technologies, curriculum development, or supporting extracurricular activities.
