What skills and experience we're looking for
York High School is looking to appoint an inspirational teacher with a proven record of outstanding practice, or the potential to become outstanding with our support, to work within our mathematics teaching team.
The mathematics team plays an important role in supporting whole school targets. Outstanding teaching, early identification and intervention is the key to pupil achievement in the subject area. UK Maths Challenge, Stock Market Challenge and Year 8 Team Challenge flourish within the team’s programme.
The successful candidate must have the ability to teach across the age and ability range, and inspire, motivate and challenge young people. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to contributing to the personal development of all the young people we teach.
